A Rumor Godden story with Philip Leacock as director? That's a great combination. And the way you wrote this post makes me want to watch the film tonight. I love British films. Just a few weeks ago I watched Sylvia Syms play with Anna Neagle in "My Teenage Daughter" which plays out like the exact opposite of this story.
